Windows Vista Speech Recognition Demo Gone Awry!!!

Bite the dust, Micro!!! :-D

Oh, one more thing: this is my first "video blog". And what's it all about? Microsoft! And who's tired of all this "heachache" who decided to "flee away" before the "destruction" of his beloved OS? It's the richest man in the world, Billy who may not stay as the richest anymore after maybe a short while...

The rest is up to you!

Take care ;-)

Alive, just to see another day...

Today, the members of the Techno-licity Committee and I were suppose to have lunch in Chilies at 1 pm to celebrate the Committee's establishment, and completing the Committee's first wave of projects: the release of Ahlia Message's1st issue, and Ahlia Students Website. I prepared for such lunch since the middle of last month by SMSs, e-mails, phone calls, and personal invitations: Rashid; we'll be having lunch at Chilies at this time in this day at such place, looking forward to see you there! Don't be late man, 1 pm sharp! Hi Seham, remember Eid's, the lunch I promised you to have after issuing the 1st issue of the magazine?! Here it is! The 15th of January, 1 pm at Chilies. Tell the other girls OK? See ya! Man what's up? This is Q, Next Sunday 1300 hours SHARP, Chilies Seef, yo coming?! That's great! Meet ya there! TC… and so on…

Finally, out of 14 only 3, yes 3 as THREE came up. Our photographer who had his camera ready to have a group picture for all of the Committee's members, and a poor guy I really respect after today, because he came all the way from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain only for this lunch and he had to go back directly because of a friend's birthday this evening. And the funny thing is that those two were the ones who called me last night saying that they may not come because they have stuff to do, but instead they were the only ones who showed up.

I woke up this morning upon the news of the death of Kuwait's Ameer, Shaikh Jaber Al Subah, and the 3-day holiday issued for all government establishments and ministries here in Bahrain. I started re-checking the guys for the forth time this week. The 1st guy I called said he's going to Qatar later today. I was like "But you didn't say that so previously?!" "Sorry man but it's urgent, I am really sorry, hope you all have fun! Gotta go!! Bye!!!" ( OK, it's only Rashid! One not coming wouldn't harm…

Khalid: sorry Qasim, I promised the kids to go out and have lunch with them, reeeeaaaaally sorry man, but today is an unexpected holiday and my wife is killing me to get her out for lunch with the children (sh*t I forgot!) heard him whispering… WHAT DID YOU SAY? Oh oh nothing, man; believe me I'll make it up for you! Take care!!! Hi Qasim, the girl that was suppose to pick me up here won't be able to do so, I have no way of transportation available. Probably I won't make it. Enjoy the lunch with the others! Bye!

What others?! THEY ARE ALL WRIGGLING BY MAKING SUCH EXCUSES! That moment I felt like I was struck by a thunder. WHAT THE…? Am I going to end up having my lunch alone here in Seef???? :-S AHHHH! I was planning for this a couple of weeks ago, thank God I didn't ask Chilies to reserve a big table for 12 – 18 people. It would've been embarrassing enough for me not to visit Chilies again for the next couple of months:-P

Thank the Lord those two showed up. I was just about to leave when I got a phone call from them saying they're on their way, 10 minutes and they'll be here. We changed our dining place, and head to Aroma instead. The big surprise was when I saw one of the girls shopping with her friends. She admitted her fault explaining "she woke up very late and she was shy to show her face to us after being that late". Anyways, it was better for us to keep on the male formation and have our lunch in Aroma. We chat, ate, laughed, and had some great fun as it was my first time there. A couple of hours later we had a walk around the mall, and split right after that. We agreed to see each other next Saturday and do that once again. Anyways it passed as a great day, didn't regret making that invitation and spending that time with Mansour and Mohammed.

But sure the rest will get their share later on, I will not let such thing just pass by. See you later!

(the strange thing is that this post was suppose to be in my blog a week ago!!! But for a reason I don’t have a clue about it didn’t upload although it told me “post published successfully” and I noted that just today! :-S anyways here it is!!)

I have a dream…

This morning I woke up, opened my eyes slowly and looked at the ceiling. I had a strange feeling that I am still in the dream I had last night, which was a mixture of unrelated events and illogical actions with a well-done story line and interesting thrill-loaded andriline-thining events. I was as if I would jump out of the bed, pick my riffle and head to the battlefield! (I watch too many war movies, don't I??? :-P )

Anyways, that's not what I wanted to write about…

I dream of a day we put all our conflicts aside, and unite in the face of the crisis we're facing. I dream of a day in which each and every one of us cares for the other one and for his community, so that we become in well-off those who claim to help us, and use us afterwards…

I dream of Bahrain without denominationalism (double click It if you don't know it's meaning! :-P) racialism and gender-dissipation. We are all equal in front of God, so we must in front our selves. All of us will have a judgment day, so no need to force people to do "what we think is right" and "what you think is, and will always be wrong – as long as it doesn't match with ours… If you aren’t with us then you are against us!!!". I dream of a Bahrain where every citizen has a house, a decent job, and a secured future for his children… No discrimination, nothing at all.

I have a dream of living in peace and harmony, and war is something of the past. No Middle East Crisis, a free Iraq and a Palestinian state… I dream of equality, democracy, and fairness in distribution of goods and government services. I dream to see a community made of happy families, each raising their children with good manners and exchanged love among its members, leaving nothing for the bad ideas from the street

Suddenly, I woke up from this dream. I realized it wasn't real right from the beginning. I went directly to the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and head to have breakfast. While I was eating my eggs, the dream flashed-back in my head. After it was all done, I continued having my breakfast carelessly of what I saw…

It was just another dream, and I'm that type of people who dream too much.

Aren’t I? ;-)

In the memory of Naba'a Al Khuza'ee

Yesterday was the day that completed a year since Naba'a left us in a world full of chaos and hatred. She was a blooming flower in the middle of the thorns of life. We lost her in a blink in an awful car accident that almost toke away the life of her friend as well. It is truly sad to lose such a hyper enthusiastic person like her in such a time where we need true friends standing beside us, back to back building a better world, and go through this hard life; taking the hands of those in pain and ease their suffer…

I will stop here, as words can't describe her in her true form; fearing not giving her the praise she deserves.

I couldn't write this yesterday because my mind was empty… Just memories passing by… I still don't understand how she left… As if she's there, but away from peoples' eyes… Looking and smiling from up above… Encouraging us to give more and to work harder to accomplish what she couldn't complete.

May God place you in heaven Naba'a…

Take care all of you…

"FAMILIES ONLY"

Tonight I had nothing to do and my dad was in a friend's house. When he got back he proposed me to go to Riffa just for a change. I agreed and got into the car and started chatting with each other about college & other stuff…

When we reached Riffa we noticed that "Ramadan's Festival" done by the Southern Governorate. Big tents with people around it buying stuff, others selling food & sweets, and children playing & running all over the place.

My dad & I decided to get into those tents to see what was going on. The moment we reached the door of the first tent a Yemeni guy stood in front of us with a face empty of emotions and a big moustache saying: "THIS IS ONLY FOR FAMILIES". I got offended!!! My dad took it easily but my face's expressions changed. DO I & DAD LOOK LIKE WE WANNA FLIRT INSIDE OR SOMETHING? Or is that area ruled by Saudi Arabia & he's one of those "Al Amer Bil Ma3roof wal nahy 3an el monker"???? Who would ever THOUGHT Bahrain would end up like that one day?!?!?! Anyways, my dad tried to make it easy for me: "Worry not my son! We'll try another door!" And he went to the other door where he explained to the other Yemeni guy that we came alone and we didn't know about that "families" (with two fingers down! :-P ) and we'll be grateful if he let us in! He looked right & left and let us in! My blood presser got normal again! The only things in were either clothes, more clothes, baby clothes, women sleeping clothes, beauty stuff, kitchen stuff, dinning room stuff, spices… etc (mainly things for the bed room & the kitchen; women specialties stuff!! :-P ) Minutes after we headed out as we didn't find anything of our interest ;-)

Well, I REALLY wish that what we encountered was due to the area of where the exhibition was located, not a change in the policies of our current "Family Tourism" (as our Saudi friends call it in their country), so that if you don't have a girlfrie… Ooops I mean a wife, mother sister or a daughter you are not allowed to go in!

May God be in our aid!

... Finally they R going 2 start doing something about Ain Adhari after all those years... Hope it's not going 2 be a place "only 4 those who carry-a-lot-of-cash" ppl :-P it should be a public place 4 every1 (although I bet it will be full of Indians that way, no hard feelings!) :-P

Anywayz, hope it's done in the near future as the previous attempt failed when (*** ****** *** ******) disagreed about it because he didn't get (** **) of the project's earnings... Maybe he found that his account in the bank "exceeded the maximum storage-ability" :-P so he decided 2 "let-this-1-pass"...
